What should I wear?
In general wearing long sleeves and long pants in a solid color is your best option. Often shirts with patterns will clash with the background. In the end the most important thing is to wear something you are comfortable in. Wearing sleeveless or short sleeve shirts, and shorts will expose skin. If you are one of those people lucky enough to have beautiful skin, go for it!
How long will my shoot take?
Events last as long as you schedule them for, from start time to stop time. Portrait sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to up to 2 hours depending upon your desired package and the purpose of the portrait session. Portrait sessions often involve more than one location, and more than one outfit so it is not unusual to spend some time in transit and changing. It is for this reason that our Sitting Fee is the same for a 30 minutes shoot or a 2 hour shoot. We want to be sure you get exactly what you need regardless of how much you pay.
What kind of editing do you do?
Our entire focus throughout the entire shooting process is to make you, our client, look your best! For this reason we do take advantage of the nature of the digital medium, by post-processing our images. Basic post-processing invloves color and tonal corrections, sharpening and removal of distracting background objects. Advanced post-processing may involve removal of skin blemishes, skin smoothening and other enhancements. J&J Photography of Prescott will, however, never alter the true appearance of our clients without their explicit request to do so.
How long until I actually get my prints?
In the case that you choose a PIY package, you may expect to have the final images in your hands within 3-5 days after the shoot. If you have ordered prints, we usually get these to you within 5-7 days. Additional orders such as photographic cards, albums, and books may take up to 10 days. These times may vary 2-3 days during peak holiday seasons.
