J&J Photography of Prescott based in beautiful Prescott, AZ, specializes in on-location portrait and event photography. From everyday family and individual portraits, to your special occasions, J&J Photography of Prescott has the tools and knowledge to provide high quality images and a price to fit any budget. J&J Photography of Prescott prides itself in presenting excellent value to each and every one of our customers.
The Photographers
John and John have been college roommates since 2003. Both attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott and are working toward degrees in fields outside of photography. For both, photography began as a hobby and quickly evolved into a passion. Before long both could be seen at the local Barnes and Noble cafe, sipping White Chocolate Mochas and reading every photography book they could get their hands on. It didn't take long before the business proposition came along and J&J Photography of Prescott was born. John and John quickly realized that a market existed for on-location portraits and that due to lower overhead costs of not maintaining a studio, savings could be passed to the customer while continuing to maintain the highest quality images. That same concept stands today.

Photographic Philosophy
J&J Photography of Prescott operates entirely in digital media. Digital media provides numerous benefits including quick turn-around times (usually within 7 days), fewer wasted shots, as well as a plethora of publication options. J&J Photography of Prescott will never edit a picture beyond your desires, and strives to capture the personality and natural essence of each of our clients in every portrait we create.
Printing Services
All of our printing is done by a professional digital printer, White House Colour Company based in Eagan, MN. Our monitors used for editing have been specially calibrated to match the color output from WHCC and we guarantee the highest quality prints with a very fast turn-around time.
Camera Equipment
Like so many photographers before us we were forced to make the Canon vs. Nikon choice. We chose Nikon for its high image quality, excellent lens selection and compatibility, and handling features. Our gear includes:
- Nikon D80
- Nikon D50 (Back up body)
- Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 ; Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8, 18-135mm f/3.5, and 70-300mm f/4
- 4'x5' Diffusion panel
- Nikon SB-600 flashes, as well as reflective and shoot through umbrellas.
While it is certainly true that many other photographers have more expensive (and flashy) equipment, part of J&J Photography of Prescott's mission is to keep our overhead low and pass those savings on, to our customers.
